This year, 27th June marks the beginning of Rabbit Awareness Week (RAW). Endorsed by the British Veterinary Association and the British Small Animal Veterinary Association, this year marks the 16th RAW.

With their inquisitive and social nature, rabbits are an increasingly popular choice of pet. This year, the VPIS have already received over 80 cases regarding rabbits, and the agents involved reflect the increasing number of rabbits living indoors as ‘house rabbits’. Common agents involved rodenticides, medications, and various house plants.

With the significant amount of publicity generated by Rabbit Awareness Week, practices may experience more enquiries related to rabbits, and we can help both vets and owners with all the information needed to proceed with a case in the appropriate way. We cover a huge range of agents, and ensure that our advice is up-to-date with constant research and from our database of over 305,000 cases recorded over the last 30 years.
