A number of CVS practices now hold the following drugs and have made them available to all UK practices, including practices outside of CVS.
- Acetylcysteine
- Activated charcoal
- Apomorphine
- Adder antivenom
- Ethanol
- Fresh frozen plasma
- Intralipid®
- Methocarbamol
- Naloxone
- Vitamin K1
This new service is in addition to ToxBox from Vets Now and their host practices. The VPIS also has a list of other practices that hold drugs that can be obtained in an emergency. For more information see our website or in an emergency call us to obtain the telephone number of your nearest site holding the drug you need to manage your patient appropriately.
