Happy New Year to all our members. We are very grateful for your continued support of our valuable service and are proud to be here to assist you with your poisoning cases. In 2019 we handled over 13,000 enquiries on our VPIS and Animal PoisonLine (APL) lines – a record for us! It shows how important it is to have dedicated poisons services for both veterinary staff in practice and pet owners. We constantly research the literature (both human and animal toxicology) and analyse our cases to ensure that the advice we provide is accurate and up-to-date and, without any external funding, it is your memberships which enable us to sustain the service. Our team are here 24 hours a day for you and don’t forget that any recall about the same case is not charged so you can call as many times as you need to.
